Enjoy learning how to paint a beach scene as part of OADSP’s 2022 BTWB Series event, “Canvas & Cocoa.” Hosted by Open Door Art Studio & Gallery and with guidance from staffer and artist Cristina Feret, you’re in for an art-making, beverage-sipping combo that’ll help you relax, rejuvenate, and remember that Spring isn’t too far away.
In order to best enjoy this experience, please assemble the following before you start the video:
- set of acrylic paints *
- 3 brushes: *
- 1 small/fine point brush
- 1 medium/1-inch brush
- 1 large/2-inch brush
- canvas *
- 1-2 painter’s palettes, or paper plates
- 1 cup of water (for rinsing brushes)
- 1 old t-shirt or towel to clean and dry brushes
- painter’s/masking tape
And of course, make sure you have your cocoa – or coffee, or tea, or another warm and cozy beverage – within reach!
* these link to kits, but feel free to purchase items separately, or use anything you may already have. Red, yellow, blue, black, and white paints can be mixed to create all other colors/tones the instructor uses – but of course, you can create your own color scheme. And any brush kit will work, but you do want variety in sizing.
